Ghadratollah Agheli was born in Jolfa, Azerbaijan in 1947. After completing primary and secondary education, he began to study art seriously with the drawing and painting professors of Mirak Conservatory in Tabriz. He immigrated to Tehran due to his great interest in art and painting and studied sculpture in the visual arts center for four years. Since then, he has been working continuously and professionally in Wadi Hanar. During this period, Agheli held more than 31 solo exhibitions and participated in 260 group exhibitions and art exhibitions in Iran, Morocco, England, Ukraine, Germany, France, Qatar, Dubai and Istanbul.

The construction and installation of about forty-one monumental works of art, reliefs and urban monuments constitute the work record of this hard-working artist. His voluminous works can be seen in the collections of the country's art museums and prestigious private collections. In addition to the above activities, Aghili is also a diligent artist in the field of social planning of art. including membership in the board of directors and secretary of the Iranian Sculptors Association, launching a comprehensive and specialized website "Iran Sculpture" and managing and editing it. In his field and experimental researches and analytical essays, he authored specialized articles such as researches on the roots of carpet motifs and a collection of Islamic motifs and research on fifty years of contemporary Iranian art... has been operating From the collection of Aqli's works, the book "From Volume to Lily" was published in 1982 by Nazar Publishing House, and the book "Shadow in the Wind" in 1997 by Nazar Publishing House, which explained his thirty years of artistic activity.

The book "One Hundred Years of Modern Sculpture" is also published among his other works. "Venus in the Land of Sufferings" sculpture collection in 1991, "Gradual Death of a Smile" sculpture collection in 1992 in Azad Designer Gallery, "Middle East" sculpture collection in an exhibition with the theme of "Oil" in 1993 in Shirin Gallery and also his solo exhibition titled "Wonders of Creatures" was exhibited in Sareban Gallery in 1995, and after that in 1998, an exhibition of his work titled "Review of Twenty-Five Years of Sculpture Works" was held in Art Center Gallery. In 2020, he curated the fourth edition of the "3 Sculptures, Three Sculptors" exhibition at the Artibition Gallery, and his last solo exhibition is a collection of sculptures titled "Alienation" that was exhibited at the Etemad Gallery in 2022. In the same year, he held a solo exhibition of handprints of Khayyam's quatrains in the Third Gallery, and in 2023, he held the same exhibition in Goga Gallery, Istanbul. The 31st solo exhibition of O.D. will be opened in Tehran's Negah Gallery in December 2023.
